A Claude Code feature request opened in June, asking that the tool stop inserting a claude.ai session link into every commit and pull request by default, resurfaced on Hacker News with a live argument over whether that link is useful provenance or an unaudited liability. Anthropic already ships an opt-out control for it, but the control defaults to on.
