The help article says "The Max 20x plan is now called the Ultra plan." Existing subscribers move over automatically at no price change. Ultra costs $200 a month and includes Claude Code. The article gives it 10 times the Pro plan's usage every week, with no five-hour limit for verified accounts; accounts not yet verified get a temporary one. The weekly cap applies across all models, there is a separate weekly cap for Fable, and Anthropic reserves the right to add other limits. The pricing page lists $200 a month in API credits for Ultra, up from $100 on Max. Max stays at $100 with 5x Pro usage every five hours and every week.

Neither page states what the weekly figure was before the rename. A Hacker News submission of the pricing page was titled as a cut from 20x to 10x. A commenter, abc42, replied that the old 20x referred to the five-hour limit, so the weekly limit is unchanged and only the naming differs. That is one commenter's reading, and the thread had 5 points and 2 comments when we read it on Saturday morning.

Why it matters: For anyone running Claude Code on the top consumer plan, a verified account no longer hits a five-hour window during a long unattended run. The weekly cap, a separate Fable cap and any additional limits still apply. These pages do not establish whether the weekly allowance changed from the old Max 20x plan.
